Ingredients

  • 12 red chillies, chopped
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 400g tin of chopped tomatoes
  • 150ml apple cider vinegar
  • 250ml apple juice
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 3-4 tbsp chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt

Servings

1 litre

Method

STEP 1

Add the chillies, onion, garlic and salt to your food processor and blitz to a paste. Our Swan Stealth Personal Blender is a great choice for this recipe – it's not only highly functional and easy to clean, it also comes in a sleek matte black colour.

STEP 2

Heat the oil in a frying pan, then add your paste. Fry gently for around ten minutes, stirring regularly. Add a little water if it starts to stick or burn.

STEP 3

Add the tomatoes, vinegar, and apple juice and cook for another twenty minutes.

STEP 4

Using a stick blender, blend until smooth.

STEP 5

Pour into a jar or a storage container and leave to cool.
