Cook Time

Method

STEP 1

In a small saucepan, add butter, golden syrup, and brown sugar. Place it on low heat and constantly stir until it melts.

STEP 2

Add rolled oats to a large mixing bowl. Pour the melted butter mixture and mix well until you get a sticky and wet mixture.

STEP 3

Let the mixture cool slightly. Add chocolate chips and mix well.

STEP 4

Pour the prepared mixture into a baking tin and press using the back of the spoon. Level the top of the mixture.

STEP 5

Place the baking tin in a preheated oven at 350-degree F for about 20 to 25 minutes.

Once the top of the flapjack gets a nice golden colour, remove the baking tin from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Remove the flapjack from the baking tin and place it on a cooling rack.

STEP 6

In a bowl, add milk chocolate, and place it in the microwave for about 90 seconds. Take the bowl out from the microwave after intervals of 30 seconds and mix until the chocolate is melted.

STEP 7

Once the flapjack is completely cool, pour the melted chocolate on top of the flapjack and cut it into equal pieces.
